What is the difference?

Translating and interpreting are very similar activities but still remain different

A translation is written. It's about relaying content of a document from one source language (original text) to a target language (the translation).

An interpretation is oral. It consists in relaying the message emitted by a person in a source language to another person (or people) in a target language.
